The Walk-In Shoe Closet I Didn't know I needed.

So much has changed over the past few months, I graduated and didn't exactly take a gap year as I wanted to, remember when we talked about that here? *sigh, good old dreamy days. Well I got an 8 to 5 and quickly realized I am not built for this lifestyle but I'm managing. I also moved to a much bigger space, (finally not living at school anymore) and my love for DIYs has grown tremendously since. I actually really love playing with wood. I just went from not knowing anything about wood, to almost being able to tell you what wood type to use for which project. crazy huh! I'll share a catch up video soon then we can talk about all the new changes.

In the mean time I have this crazy project that I could not wait to share with you guys. If you have been on this journey with me since the good old days, you might recognize this white shelf that was an insane steal. I remember going on OLX looking for a carpenter. The secret is to look for a carpenter who makes the item you need for cheap then share your design and at this point you are in a better position to negotiate the price.

Lemme explain this better, when I went on OLX which is now jiji.co.ke, I went on there looking for a shoe rack. I didn't get the one I needed but I got a carpenter who makes shoe racks at a really cheap price, adjusted the measurements of what he made and ended up paying almost Kes. 5,000 less for my massive shoe rack. You have no idea how badly I wanted to type that as massive rack...hahaha

I'm making all these awesome changes to my new apartment because it's where I get to chill and unwind after my days at the office, so you can imagine just how perfect I want it to be. When I realized I could turn my really messy everything goes store room into a small walk-in shoe closet...ooooohhh! Gimme a minute to scream. I can't even begin to explain how crazy this transformation is, you really just have to watch the video and see for yourself.

I hope this video makes you see how small changes can make a huge difference in your space and if nothing else, it inspires you to de-clutter your space and fix it up. Whether it's that nook behind the door of the chair in your bedroom where your clothes have been pilling up. This is to inspire you to fix it and make it that Pintresty space you have pinned.

I'll let you watch now...see you in my next video.....bye!
