Earlier this year, I was dreaming of what I would like my first apartment after Uni to look like. To be honest I thought one of two things would happen, I'd end up in one of those fancy apartments in the expensive parts of town or I'd end up back at my parents. I didn't once consider the in-between option. But here I am, in the in-between option and I'm really enjoying the process of bringing my Pinterest boards to life. Might I add, on a budget...*high five*
I was standing by my door last week thinking, 'this is not what I want my entry way to look like', I guess I was so focused on the main rooms that I forgot just how important it is to have an inviting entry way. When I wrote this post, I didn't realize how true that statement was. A beautiful entry way not only gives a great first impression to your guests, but it really can brighten your mood when you get home from a long day at work. So I decided to do something about my entryway and I must say, I am quite pleased with my work.
I was not ready for the terrible vanish smell or the fact that it lingered in my house all day or the long walk along Ngong road trying to find the perfect pot and plant for that dark entry way but in the end, it was worth it.

What I think you should take away from this video is definitely the fact that Pinterest is your friend when you want to revamp your entry way, keep saving pictures you like and eventually you will see a recurring theme, that should tell you what it is you truly like or want for your space. Write down what you feel you need for the space and get to work. I'd remind you to take note on the vanishing tips but I don't think you'll miss them.
Also take a minute to look at this post for more pointers and ideas. See you in my next video,
XO Ezil.
