Whether wide or narrow spacious or not your entry way is the first part of your home that people see when they come in. Even those you don't allow into your house will probably see your entry way. Forget what others think for a second, your entry way is the first thing you see when you walk into your house. Imagine walking into your house after a long day in the office and the first thing you see are dirty shoes all over the entry way. Not cute! In this post we will be looking at different items you can use to revamp your entry way. I will also be sharing some inspiration on how you can make it work.

Floating Shelf
I personally love floating shelves because they do not take up much space and are an effective way to keep things organized. You can put a plant, some art pieces or magazines to decorate your floating shelf. They are particularly great for small entry ways.

Plant
There is something about greenery that brings life to a space. Depending on your taste, you can get any type of plant big or small. You can also put flowers instead. I would recommend plants that don't need to be watered frequently like the snake plat or monstera. you could also just go for a fake plant.

Mirror
Mirrors are great for making a small space look more spacious they also reflect light making your space look brighter. If you are like me then you probably want to look at yourself one or ten more times before you leave.

High Table
This is a good substitute for the floating shelf especially if you live in a rented house. They are also great because they come in a variety of designs and as such it is easier for you to get one that fits your decor style.

Rug
A rug is a very effective way to add character to your entry way. Textured rugs are particularly good for this, you can also get a rug in any print or color to help tie everything together and make the space feel and look cozy.

Lamp/ Lantern
Lamps and lanterns come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors as such they are a good way to add texture, color or height variation to your entry way. They are also a great source of light. You can add your scented candles to make your house smell fabulous.

Bench
I still don't understand why people add benches to their entry way but I guess they are convenient for when you and your guests need to tie your shoe laces. Also you can easily arrange your shoes underneath. Add some throw pillows to give it some texture and color.

Picture/ Painting
For a more spacious entry way, adding a picture or wall painting is a good way to make your entry way look absolutely fabulous. Who says you only need one you can add as many as you wish. Just make sure you have a working theme.

Coat Hunger
If you are not feeling the hanging pegs you can add a coat hanger. You don't ave to DIY one you can always buy one and add it next to your bench of shelf.

Shoe Rack Bench
I may not get the bench idea but I totally get the shoe rack bench. While the shoes in this picture are not organized a shoe rack bench has got to be the most effective way to keep shoes organized in your entry way.

I hope you found this helpful.
